The device produces a homogeneously illuminated light surface that is used for indirect observation of the back of the eye using a magnifying glass.
The spot size varies from 4 to 6 cm depending on the working distance and reduces continuously to approx. 1 cm by means of an iris diaphragm.
The ophthalmoscopy lamp CR has two light brightnesses, a green filter for red-free illumination and a blue filter.
